Success with early planning 2024: Why early planning is the key to success

Dear readers,

It may seem surprising that this post comes at the end of October, when we usually don't expect such advice until after Christmas or at the beginning of the year. But the current countdowns to the end of the year urge us to hurry: "Only 10 weeks until the end of the year!" or "2023 ends in less than 3 months! Act now!" But rest assured, if you haven't gotten going yet, you won't suddenly do so in the last two months. And that's okay. 2023 was another year full of resolutions - some of which might not be achieved. Don't be discouraged!

Before I tell you what you could do instead, I would like to share my little "aha moment" with you. share that led to this post.

A look behind the scenes at Fashion Week: Spring/Summer 2024 already in October 2023? (Early planning)

A few weeks ago the New York and Paris Fashion Weeks took place. Instagram and TikTok were flooded with influencers, stars and starlets who gave us exclusive insights behind the scenes and onto the catwalks of the world. The designers presented their new collections - but not just any, but those that will be trendy in the coming spring and summer of 2024. We already know in October what will be popular in May. An impressive phenomenon in the fashion industry!

In an episode of the new season of "Keeping up with the Kar-Jenners" Kim flew to Milan to present her (fall/winter) collection with Dolce & To examine Gabbana, which she presented on the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week in spring 2023. What do I want to say with these examples?

Life is divided into chapters and seasons. We often come across the sentence on social media: "This chapter of my life is called Happiness" or "selfcare". Yes, life consists of certain phases. We divide a year into spring, summer, autumn and winter - at least before climate change. Nowadays it is rather hot or cold, without transitions. But that is a topic for another post. What I'm getting at is that anyone who plans and acts early wins! Success with early planning 2024.

Success with early planning 2024: The wisdom of ants and the art of early planning

Watch the ants, you lazy person!", an ancient saying reminds us. There is no boss to encourage them, but they work diligently throughout the summer and stock up during the harvest season. How long do you want to stay in bed? When are you finally getting up? But while you are resting, poverty knocks at the door. Need attacks you like a robber. - Proverbs 6:6-11 NIV

Setting the course for 2024: Why now is the perfect time

The year is coming to an end and that's great! Now is the ideal time to start planning for the coming year. The fashion world is already showing us what will be popular next spring. You can adopt this model for your year 2024. Use the remaining 8 weeks to reevaluate the past 10 months. What went well, what went less well? Where have you grown and where do you still need to work on yourself? Use the time now and don't wait until the new year. Because whoever plans and acts early wins!

5 reasons why early annual planning is crucial

1. Long-term goal and vision:

Planning early makes it possible to define clear long-term goals and develop a clear vision for the coming year. This helps to focus on what is important and maximize the chances for long-term success.

2. Make optimal use of time resources:

Early planning allows you to use the available time more effectively. This means that you can take timely measures to use resources efficiently, be it financial, personnel or time.

3. Flexibility in case of unforeseen events:

Careful planning allows you to react better to unforeseen events. By thinking about potential challenges in advance, you can develop strategies to address them instead of having to act reactively in a crisis situation.

4. Motivation and goal achievement:

Conscious planning and setting goals create clear direction and promote motivation. It is known that people who set clear goals and work on them regularly are more likely to be successful than those who don't.

5. Better organization and productivity:

Thoughtful planning enables better organization of tasks, projects and resources. This leads to greater productivity and efficiency as you are better able to set priorities and optimize processes.

Overall, early planning offers a clear strategic advantage and makes it possible to better cope with the challenges ahead. It also creates space for creativity, adaptation and innovation because you are not trapped in a situation of constant reaction.
